Akytec has added an additional Ethernet interface to the SPK107E and SPK110E control panel series. The devices in the SPK1XX family essentially consist of a freely programmable PLC with a resistive TFT touchscreen in 5, 7 and 10 inch sizes. They have IP54 protection on the front and the plastic housing has IP20 protection. In addition, all devices offer RS232 and RS485 interfaces as standard. Web visualization for displaying and controlling processes via any device with a web browser is available as an option. Up to two USB ports and an SD card slot up to 32 GB are available for data archiving. The supported protocols include Modbus RTU, ASCII and, most recently, Modbus TCP. According to the manufacturer, Codesys V3 makes it possible to freely program both simple automation sequences and complex projects and tasks in accordance with IEC 61131-3. The operating temperature of the control panels is between 0 and +60 °C.
