Ahlborn has developed a measurement technology for connecting sensors that focuses particularly on the connector plug and offers simple digitalization of the corresponding sensors. Features of the Almemo D7 connector technology include digital signal transmission, any cable length and interchangeable sensors without loss of calibration data. This means that the sensor can be calibrated independently of the measuring device; calibration of the entire measuring chain is no longer necessary with digitized sensors. In addition, individual sensor parameters such as scaling, attenuation, averaging, measuring rate or even longer comments can be stored in the connector. Each connector offers space for ten measurement and calculation channels. The display ranges in the measuring device can be extended to 200,000 digits when using these connectors. The patented sensor menu is used to display the sensor parameters on the one hand and to configure the sensor independently of the device on the other. The connector plugs are configured either via the device's sensor menu or free configuration software. The connectors can be connected to all 'Almemo' data loggers of the V7 generation.
