The VDMA has published its first estimates of global machine sales. According to these estimates, sales of machinery and equipment in Europe rose by 6%. This was the highest growth since 2011. The figures in detail.

As in previous years, the United States followed in second place in the global country ranking. Here, turnover is expected to have increased by 3% to 326 billion euros. In Japan (4th place), machine manufacturers were also able to maximize their turnover by 2% to 243 billion euros. Italy, number 5 in the global mechanical engineering sector, increased its turnover by an estimated 5% to 119 billion euros. The top five countries in the ranking account for 73% of total global machinery sales.
