Kontron at the SPS 2022Control tasks in industrial automation
Kontron has expanded the i.MX8M Mini platform to include the manufacturer-independent IEC 61131-3 automation software Codesys SoftSPS for configuring industrial control systems.
The Combivert F6 and Servo Drives S6 drive controllers from KEB Automation offer integrated safety functions directly in the drive. In the 'Application' device variant, Ethernet-based bus systems can be switched via software, enabling a flexible fieldbus connection to the higher-level control level, for example via Profinet. Communication via the safe Profisafe fieldbus protocol has now been integrated and certified in the devices. Drives with integrated safety are integrated into the Siemens TiA-Portal Profinet network using GSD files. Based on this, safe fieldbus communication between different F-Devices (safety devices) is realized. With the Combivert F6 and S6 application drive controllers (with type 3 safety module), the corresponding encoder-related safety functions can be selected and used via the configuration. The device series cover a power range from 0.75 to 450 kW and can be used for the operation of different motor technologies.
