The 17th edition of embedded world set new records in terms of exhibitors and exhibition space. At around 31,000, there were slightly fewer visitors than in 2018 - but this is the second-best visitor result in the event's history. The hype topic of AI was omnipresent at the trade fair.

... the company presented a retail deep learning application. The solution, developed by Basler in close collaboration with Congatec and NXP, is a proof-of-concept that uses artificial intelligence (AI). Visitors to the stand were able to place goods in their shopping basket and the trained neural network recognizes the products. Finally, the invoice total is displayed.
