The Raspberry Pi is the most popular minicomputer worldwide and also in Germany. Almost one in two people who realize electronics projects privately or professionally have already used it. This is the result of a representative survey by Reichelt Elektronik.
"There is definitely a positive market trend in maker projects, with more and more minicomputers being used. The projects are getting smarter and smarter and the Raspberry Pi can be used well and in a variety of ways, especially in the field of home automation," says Dirk Panneweitz, Product Manager at Reichelt Elektronik. "The WLAN connection integrated from version 3 and the new PoE capability in model 3 B+ make the Raspberry Pi particularly interesting for smart home projects. The trend in future projects is mainly towards lighting and heating control in the smart home, but the Raspberry Pi is also frequently used as a multimedia center."
