The PICMG 1.3 server board SPCIE-C246 from ICP Germany is suitable for high-performance and security-relevant applications. There is a choice of 8th generation Intel Xeon E3, Core i3/i5/i7, Pentium or Celeron CPUs, which can be combined with up to 64 Gbytes of DDR4 SDRAM memory. ECC memory with integrated error correction coding can also be installed. Six SATA 6 Gbit/s interfaces with RAID 0,1,5,10 provide additional security by mirroring or distributing user and parity data on different hard disks during data storage. The Trusted Platform Module 2.0 secures the transmission of sensitive sensor or machine data. The server board offers an M.2 M Key interface for PCIe x4-based NVMe SSDs as additional mass storage space. In addition, two GbE (Intel I219LM PHY + I211-AT controller), four USB 3.1, seven USB 2.0, one RS422/485, three RS232 and 8-bit digital I/O are available. Two independent displays with a resolution of up to 4K UHD can be controlled via a DisplayPort and an HDMI interface. Furthermore, two parallel audio streams can be realized with the optional 7.1 channel HD audio kit. Thanks to the extended temperature range between -20 and +60 °C, the board is also suitable for harsh environments.
