What's new in industrial PCs? Our picture gallery shows you the latest products in this area - from conventional embedded devices to USB hubs and specially enhanced Raspberry Pi devices.

The new POC-300 series of fanless industrial controllers from Acceed consists of four devices with different interface configurations and two different processors. Up to three Gigabit interfaces are available, including two with PoE, four USB ports and a range of standard serial and digital interfaces. A special feature is the fast MezIO slot, for which a range of special MezIO modules are available. The box controllers measure just under 105 mm × 149 mm and are equipped with either the Intel Pentium N4200 (1.1/2.5 GHz) or the Intel E3950 quad-core processor (1.6/2.0 GHz, code-named Apollo Lake). The RAM can be upgraded to up to 8 GB for all model variants. According to the manufacturer, the high data transfer rate supports secure high-resolution video streaming, image analysis in video surveillance and machine vision applications with GigE cameras, for example for production control or robot control. Four USB ports, two of which are USB 3.0, and several serial port options (RS232/422/485) offer flexibility for data communication with devices, sensors and actuators. A DVI-I connection for analog RGB and DVI/HDMI as well as audio output and microphone input complete the equipment.
