Janz Tec presents the emPC-A/RPI3 based on Raspberry Pi. The new system is based on the original design and is the successor to the proven emPC-A/RPI2. Instead of a Raspberry Pi 2 module, this embedded system now also uses the current successor Raspberry Pi 3. The system looks almost identical to its predecessor. On the inside, however, the use of the new CPU module results in some interesting new features, especially for the automation sector. Not only has the system become much more powerful, it also has two interfaces for mobile communication, Bluetooth and WLAN, which can be used to create ad hoc networks for mobile machines. Raspbian Jessie Light is still used as the operating system. Codesys and various CAN tools are also available in the new version, as with its predecessor.
