At Cebit 2016, the BMWi gave the go-ahead for the 'Start-up Competition - Digital Innovations'. It is the successor to the 'IKT Innovativ' start-up competition and aims to be even more sensitive to smart start-up ideas with a new selection procedure.

Technical products are becoming increasingly complex and smaller - components smaller than 1 mm need to be placed, assembled and joined together. The start-up Microw from Oldenburg now offers a unique micro-assembly tool for such processes: Miniaturized products, sensors and actuators, watches and measuring devices can be manufactured with more than 100 times greater precision and a lower reject rate.
