At Cebit 2016, the BMWi gave the go-ahead for the 'Start-up Competition - Digital Innovations'. It is the successor to the 'IKT Innovativ' start-up competition and aims to be even more sensitive to smart start-up ideas with a new selection procedure.

The start-up Sensape has developed a technology based on learning algorithms to design interactive advertising spaces. The underlying intelligent software uses a camera to record characteristics of the viewer such as gender, age, state of mind, body poses and gestures. On this basis, Sensape creates an interactive advertisement or product presentation that matches the identified target group. For example, an advertising figure begins to turn on a display or in a projection and show itself from all sides as soon as a passer-by looks at its clothing.
