NTT Data presents a new edge AI platform that overcomes IT and OT silos and supports the implementation of AI applications for industry and manufacturing.
NTT Data 's Edge AI solution processes large data sets on compact computing platforms and uses smaller, more efficient machine learning models to deliver real-time AI results. Edge AI is a managed service platform that includes all the systems, tools and functions required for AI utilization at the edge. This includes the automatic recognition, preparation and processing of data, computing power, seamless connectivity and AI model management.
Plug & Play Ready concept
The platform uses Plug & Play Ready and AI models that can run in a small compute box. Edge AI takes on specific tasks such as supporting safety or operational efficiency by collecting data from various devices in a network environment, enabling immediate and secure data processing and analysis.
Manufacturing companies, for example, benefit from improved predictive maintenance through access to IT and OT data from sensors, machines, cameras and applications. This enables them to predict failures and prevent them at an early stage. Edge AI can also monitor and optimize energy consumption in real time; energy peaks can be predicted, machine utilization improved and costs andCO2 emissions reduced through renewable energy.

Edge AI deployment offer
NTT Data provides organizations with an edge AI deployment offering for free 30-day discovery and diagnostics of their IT and OT environment. The software automatically identifies assets using its library of predefined OT interfaces. After this initial phase, the Edge AI software produces a diagnostic report that includes an inventory of assets and data flows, and also identifies security risks and vulnerabilities.
