With deterministic network operation in real time, the industrial-grade switches from Perle Systems are designed to withstand extreme temperatures, overvoltage, vibrations and shocks, according to the manufacturer. The robust fanless switches are hardened to work reliably even at operating temperatures of -40°C to +70°C. Fiber optic and copper networks are supported. Designed to configure, monitor and manage industrial LANs, features include Profinet and Modbus TCP protocol support for monitoring and device management, MRP ring protocol (IEC 62439-2) for <10 ms recovery time, STP/RSTP/MSTP for network redundancy, and advanced security and IT management features - including TACACS+, RADIUS, 802.1x, SSH, SNMPv3, and HTTPS. The switch offers eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet ports and two SFP slots that support 1G/2.5G fiber or 10/100/1000Base-T.
