Product presentationsNews from the field of big data
What options for IoT connectivity are currently available in the manufacturing and industrial environment to implement big data applications? Computer & AUTOMATION has compiled a selection of current products from this area in a series of images.

With the icom Data Suite, Insys icom offers a flexible software package for the "MRO" and "MRX" router series, which supplements the devices with functionalities for recording and processing application data. The current version 1.2 of the software enables the processing of Lua scripts and opens up its functions for Codesys controllers and networks. This means that the software can be used to efficiently integrate and network Codesys controllers or other devices based on the runtime environment into infrastructures via TCP (V2/V3) and via Codesys Gateway Server (V3). Parallel access to other instances (e.g. WebVisu or programming tools) is still possible. By networking and processing data points, a large number of software-based applications can be implemented quickly and without special programming knowledge via configuration. The data from Codesys controllers and devices is recorded independently of protocol and manufacturer. Logic and arithmetic functions are available for processing the data. Status monitoring applications can also be implemented using timers, flags and an event handler. Current values can be visualized via a local dashboard that can be accessed via a browser and transferred to SCADA, ERP systems or clouds. In addition to comprehensive visualization, functions such as logging or reporting are also available there.
