Kunbus expands the IO-Link wireless product portfolio with a Bridge Evaluation Module.
Kunbus is expanding its IO-Link wireless product portfolio with a Bridge Evaluation Module. With the help of the pre-installed IO-Link master software, the IO-Link wireless device software and a bridge example application, it is now possible to produce your own bridges. Compared to its wired counterpart, IO-Link, the wireless standard IO-Link Wireless provides more flexibility, less wear and tear and better scalability thanks to the elimination of cables. Wireless communication can also be integrated into existing IO-Link systems. On the device side, an IO-Link wireless bridge enables this simple integration. Wherever a suitable IO-Link wireless sensor or actuator is not yet available, sensor manufacturers can make their products IO-Link wireless-capable with little effort, and system providers can integrate any IO-Link device into their automation concept. The Kunbus Bridge Evaluation Module serves as a 'blueprint' for device manufacturers to develop their own IO LW Bridge.
