Digital voice assistants are popular: three out of four Germans have already gained experience with 'Siri', 'Alexa' & Co. or can imagine using them. The BVDW has published a survey on what respondents like about them and their concerns.
From the respondents' point of view, there are many possible uses for digital voice assistants: Four out of ten respondents appreciate the quick access to information (Wikipedia, for example), while a similar number find search engine searches particularly interesting. Both smart home applications (men: 23%; women 15%) and multimedia control (men: 32%; women 23%) are far more popular with men than with women.
