The elephant in the background, named 'Benni', was allowed to make the journey from Stuttgart to Hanover once again, after India had already been the partner country of the Hanover Fair in 2006. With around 270 employees, Lapp India is the second largest foreign subsidiary of the Lapp Group. Its Managing Director Andreas Lapp is also Honorary Consul of the Republic of India for Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate.
