The Siemens figures in detail: Q4 and the full year 2017

In the Power and Gas division, a higher volume of major orders in the service business led to growth in order intake in the fourth quarter. However, declining markets led to a decrease in sales revenue in all reporting regions - particularly in the solutions business and for large gas turbines. According to Siemens, global energy trends are depressing general demand in the markets, resulting in a decline in the new installations business. (The figures for orders and revenue are stated on a comparable basis - i.e. excluding currency translation and portfolio effects)
