Shopping with the help of service robot 'Alex'

The new "salesman" from Conrad Electronic in the Berlin Schöneberg branch is called 'Alex' and belongs to the group of so-called workerbots. Conrad fans were able to vote for the robot's name in a competition. He is now selling various products around the clock in his Workerbot kiosk. "We can currently fill a total of 36 spaces in the robot kiosk with different products," explains store manager Jochen Mädler. In concrete terms, this means that the customer stands in front of the Conrad To Go terminal, selects their desired product on the touchscreen and completes the payment process by credit card, EC card or cash.
