The Robolink D modular system from Igus offers users the opportunity to put together individual robotic systems: The individual joints, which are driven directly on the axis via a motor, are available in various sizes. For example, it is possible to combine motors and joints in several sizes with standard controllers for a complete 6-axis low-cost robot made of plastic and aluminum. A new shaft gearbox, for example, can be used as the sixth axis of a robot arm - i.e. as a radially movable connection between the arm and gripper. It is available in two sizes as a single component or with a Nema17 or Nema23 stepper motor. The manufacturer offers a decoupled version of the motor and joint for the new worm gears for the 1:30 and 1:70 ratios of the worm gearboxes in the modular system. The two components are connected by an aluminum profile. A universal gripper adapter makes it possible to attach different grippers to the joints.
