How the high-tech dragon was created

The extensive project began with detailed calculations and simulations. Multi-body simulations with the help of Simpack depicted the diverse dynamic movement processes. Service life, fatigue strength and temperature simulations as well as extensive tolerance analyses supported the developers in their calculations in advance. The CAD program Pro/E (Pro/ENGINEER) was used as the planning tool for the entire mechatronics system, while the electronics board layout simulation was carried out using Hyperlinks software.
