
Sick - Robot Guidance with high-resolution 3D ToF camera
The 3D ToF camera (Time of Flight) Visionary-T Mini from Sick solves tasks in stationary and mobile robot applications in which distance images and environmental scenarios for robot guidance (also: robotics guidance) are to be captured. With its 3D ToF imager module, which achieves a resolution of 512 × 424 pixels and enables high image dynamics, the sensor continuously generates precise intensity and depth values of its surroundings. Even in low-light environments and at longer distances, the pixel density and illumination in the Visionary-T Mini ensure a high surface-independent depth of field and ambient light robustness. The 3D ToF camera visualizes the live image of a work scene and the surroundings to the robot controller at a frame rate of up to 30 Hz. With the raw data output, software specialists such as OEMs and integrators can incorporate the measured values from the 3D snapshot camera into their own robotics solutions and applications.
