With a measuring range of up to 400 kN-m, the T40MAR torque transducer from HBM enables precise monitoring of the load signal in marine propulsion systems up to an output of 11,700 kW. The measurement of the load signal is a decisive factor for the safe operation of dual-fuel and gas drives on ships. These low-emission engines can only be operated safely if the load signal is known exactly and can be controlled. The stiffer design of the measuring flange of the torque transducer ensures greater vibration resistance during operation. The integration of RFID chips in the seawater-resistant packaging also enables seamless tracking during delivery. The rotor steel used has an impact strength of at least 27 joules (at -10 °C) and meets the requirements of ice class BV (Bureau Veritas) 1A. The digital torque transducer complies with the common classifications for use on ships, such as DNV-GL, ABS, BV, KR, CCS and RINA, as well as others on request.
