In filling and dosing applications - for example in food production and the process industry - digital load cells are exposed to environmental conditions such as permanent humidity. HBM offers the FIT5A digital load cell for this purpose. With a hermetically sealed stainless steel measuring body, it is available in protection classes IP68 and IP69K. Thanks to integrated overload protection, the load cell achieves a limit load of 1000 %. Its calibration capability in accordance with OIML R60 ensures reliable measurement results, even in legal-for-trade applications. The digital load cell is available in various versions with nominal loads of up to 50 kg. An extended version can control complete dosing processes independently without an additional PLC. The integrated electronics offer powerful filters, dosing parameters for coarse and fine flow and a self-learning algorithm that shortens the dosing time. The various parameters, from calibration to the dosing process, are set using the 'PanelX' software.
