The Siemens Energy investment recorded a negative result primarily due to the share in the loss after tax of Siemens Energy. A gain of €0.3 billion from the transfer of a 6.8% stake in Siemens Energy to Siemens Pension-Trust e.V. had an offsetting effect. The carrying amount of the remaining 25.1% stake at the end of Q3/2023 amounted to €2.0 billion. The third quarter of 2022 included an impairment loss of €2.7 billion on the investment in Siemens Energy. The prior-year quarter also included financing, consolidations and other items Russia-related charges of EUR 0.4 billion, a revaluation loss of EUR 0.1 billion on the investment in Thoughtworks Holding and a loss of EUR 0.1 billion from the application of the hyperinflation accounting rules.
