The Sitop PSU8600 power supply system and the Sitop UPS1600 uninterruptible power supply now support the OPC UA (Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture) communication standard. The open interface for horizontal and vertical communication is based on the client-server principle and enables fast, manufacturer-independent data exchange between the power supplies and industrial PCs and automation devices as well as third-party applications - even without Profinet. The integration of the OPC UA server in the firmware of the power supplies offers all options for power supply parameterization and diagnostics via the OPC UA client. For example, alarm messages are sent immediately and a program or application can react immediately.
