Call center agents are interesting: they are currently in 16th place in the ranking of the most sought-after professions (2017: 9th place) and their share within the occupational field of consulting has remained well below the 10% mark for the third year in a row. According to Dekra, this probably reflects the profound change in the field of activity, which cannot be concealed by the continued strong presence of sales positions in the overall sample. Companies are increasingly using new technologies such as chats, artificial intelligence and augmented and virtual reality in their contact with (potential) customers.
