With the web-based and modular management platform Connectivity Suite 2.0, NetModule enables administrators to securely integrate, configure and manage the routers used in their network. According to the provider, the platform is powerful enough for projects with several hundred routers and can therefore grow with the application. As a central component, a dashboard provides an overview of the platform: The 'Health' component indexes the status of the devices; the device list shows all routers with their characteristics (such as type, firmware version, online status) and which sub-networks they belong to; 'Configuration' allows settings to be prepared and managed and the 'Deployment' function allows configurations to be imported and planned updates to be managed. The dashboard is also used for device management. The routers can be optionally grouped for sorting and to simplify configurations and firmware updates. The devices or device groups can be assigned to individual users or user groups. The platform contains a REST API that is integrated directly into the applications. REST stands for Representational_State_Transfer and is a software interface for M2M communication. The VPN connections between the platform and the routers are set up independently, with the certificates being distributed via OpenVPN.
