With the Allen-Bradley Compact GuardLogix 5370 controller from Rockwell Automation, separate networks and controllers are no longer required for safety and axis control in applications with up to 16 axes. This makes it easier to plan safety functions in numerous standard and customized machines and simplify the system architecture. The controller offers all the features of the Allen-Bradley "CompactLogix 5370" controller and also provides integrated safety and axis control based on a single Ethernet/IP network. The controller achieves SIL 3, PLe and Category 4. In combination with the Allen-Bradley "Kinetix 5500" servo drive or the Allen-Bradley "PowerFlex 527" frequency inverter, users have access to the integrated STOff function in the Ethernet/IP network. Configuration is carried out via "Rockwell Software Studio 5000". Thanks to the uniform programming environment for safety and standard control, it is no longer necessary to manage separate standard and safety memories. The partition logic for safety separation is also no longer required.
