With the NIFE 300, Spectra is presenting an industrial PC that has been specially developed for applications in the field of motion control and machine vision. The high computing performance requirements of such applications are met by the built-in 6th generation Intel Core i5-6500TE and i7-6700TE processors, which use a quad-core CPU with Intel HD graphics. According to the manufacturer, it is possible to control two independent displays with 4K resolution and individual screens with up to 5K. The graphics are output via HDMI and DVI-D. For communication with peripheral and control devices, the computer has four USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports as well as two RS-232/422/485 interfaces. In addition to a redundant dual LAN connection, the system also has a third GbE LAN port, which can be used for the integration of IP devices such as cameras. Versions with additional slots, such as PCI or PCIexpress, are also available. Drives are available in four different forms: A 2.5-inch drive bay for SATA3 HDD connection, an externally accessible CFast slot, mSATA via one of the two mini PCIe slots and a SIM card slot. Power is supplied via a +24 VDC ATX power supply unit.
