The USB 3.0 single-board camera series UI-359xLE from IDS is suitable for installation situations in the tightest of spaces and, according to the provider, offers the highest resolution currently available on the market with the 18-megapixel 'AR1820HS' sensor from Aptina. Thanks to BSI (Back Side Illuminated) pixel technology, the 1/2-inch sensor is particularly light-sensitive. The dimensions of the circuit board are 36 mm × 36 mm. The industrial camera delivers images in resolutions including Full HD (1920 × 1080, 37 fps), 4K Cinema (4096 × 2304, 18 fps) and 18 MP (4912 × 3684, 12 fps). The BSI sensor offers significantly better pixel performance, particularly in low light conditions, as the image sensor with its light-sensitive structures is located directly behind the lens, allowing more light to reach the photodiodes. In addition to a board level version with S-mount lens holder (UI-3591LE) and a pure single-board version (UI-3592LE), a housing version (UI-3590LE) is also available.
