Zimmer - End-of-Arm-Ecosystem 'MATCH':
In the MATCH cooperation project, Zimmer and Schmalz developed an end-of-arm ecosystem with a comprehensive function package and universal interfaces. The system enables an automated gripper change in the fixture.
The platform is compatible with all standard lightweight robots and conventional robots on the market. The system can be mounted and set up on the robot flange in just a few simple steps. Parameterization is intuitive thanks to support from the shared digital services. Components can be replaced quickly in two ways thanks to the quick-change module. In addition to automated replacement in a storage station or the so-called gripper station, manual replacement is also possible within seconds. Thanks to the ergonomic click system, manual replacement is possible with just one hand and also prevents the replacement module from falling down.
Both companies have their own ecosystem that allows users to take advantage of numerous digital services. For example, in addition to the SCM (Master Gateway) communication module, the intuitive 'guideZ' set-up software is available to the user for further configuration of the gripper.
