With the X5 OCS, Horner APG is adding another PLC to the 'X series' product family of all-in-one 'OCS' controllers. The compact controller (119.18 mm x 89.76 mm x 35.8 mm, WxHxD) is equipped with a 4.3-inch resistive TFT display (480 x 272 p) and four displayable and programmable function keys. Four analog inputs, four digital inputs (including high-speed counters) and four digital outputs (including PWM) are permanently integrated on the control module. The logic scan rate is 0.013 mS/K. Communication options such as RS232, RS485 and CAN can be used to expand the existing I/O on the controller with decentralized modules. In addition, the RS232/RS485 interface and the mini-B USB interfaces can be used to program the controller. Using a MicroSD memory card or a memory stick on the USB interface, the PLC program can be loaded onto the controller or saved from there. Process data can also be stored on the memory card (data logger). Programming and visualization are created using the 'Cscape' software developed by Horner in an IEC 61131-3 environment.
