Kontron presents a new industrial PC for control cabinet installation: the KBox C-102-4. The KBox family model is designed to allow the integration of up to four PCIe cards and is therefore suitable for users who require a large number of additional interfaces, industrial IOs or fieldbuses. The industrial computer platforms in the series are used, among other things, for controlling machines or visualizing and inspecting the production process. All systems in the series are equipped with CPUs from the 6th generation Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processor series. A version with an Intel Xeon processor from the E3-1500 v5 series is available for the highest performance requirements. The system is fanless and battery-free. A new feature is the integration of Kontron's Widelink technology, which enables video and control data to be transmitted over distances of up to 100 meters using a standard CAT6 Ethernet cable. Remote visualization devices can thus be operated over longer distances. The Kontron Approtect security solution is also supported.
