Nord Drivesystems has developed the anti-corrosion treatment nsd tupH for demanding environmental conditions and high hygiene requirements. This surface treatment is suitable for gearboxes, smooth motors, frequency inverters and motor starters in wash-down-optimized cast aluminium housings. A special process makes the aluminum surface as corrosion-resistant as stainless steel. It is easy to clean and is largely resistant to acids and alkalis. The use of high-pressure cleaning equipment or contact with many aggressive media is also possible. This makes 'nsd tupH' drives a robust and durable alternative to painted geared motors or those made of stainless steel. The finish is available for almost all of the supplier's aluminum products. DIN and standard parts as well as the output shafts are made of stainless steel. The fanless smooth motors do not contribute to the spread of germs and are available as synchronous and asynchronous motors in efficiency classes IE2, IE3 and IE4.
