The new Modbus-to-Ethernet/IP gateways from Phoenix Contact can integrate existing Modbus devices (TCP or RTU slaves) into the Ethernet/IP protocol. The Modbus registers are mapped into the Ethernet/IP protocol via web-based management and made available. Variants with a maximum of four serial interfaces (RS232/422/485 in each case) and with a maximum of two Ethernet RJ45 ports are available. In combination with the extended temperature range of -40 to +70 °C and a comprehensive approval package (UL, IECEx, ATEX), the gateways are suitable for all industries.
