Together with support for write access to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, the software is equipped for IoT and Industry 4.0 applications. REST protocols are used in particular for communication with cloud-based applications, such as the "Production Performance Manager" from Bosch Software Innovations. NoSQL databases enable the high-performance processing of very large amounts of data and are therefore often the basis for advanced analysis processes that can be used for predictive maintenance, for example. In addition to the integrated REST interface, the MQTT gateway and support for OPC UA enable the integration of older and new control systems in cloud solutions such as Microsoft Azure or IBM Bluemix.
