The hardware and software components required for a condition monitoring solution are sensors for continuously recording the relevant condition data on the machines, an IoT gateway for receiving and pre-processing the sensor data and providing the connectivity required for data forwarding, and a cloud portal with data analysis and result visualization functions. Schildknecht offers the Dataeagle Condition Monitoring System for this purpose, which provides users with the necessary hardware and software through to cost accounting in a complete package including consulting. The solution is realized through a cooperation between Schildknecht and Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions, whereby Bosch contributes the multi-sensor unit 'CISS' (Connected Industrial Sensor Solution) to the complete system. The multi-sensor is specifically designed for monitoring machines and their operating environment and can detect up to eight physical variables such as temperature, humidity, pressure or vibration, as well as noise, brightness, acceleration values or changes in position. The values determined are transmitted from the 'CISS' to the 'Dataeagle 2730' IoT gateway via Bluetooth Low Energy. Data pre-processing takes place there, which also includes the one-off learning and storage of a 'GOOD state', against which the subsequently determined current values are compared and evaluated. For further use, the data is transferred to the 'Dataeagle' portal as a cloud via mobile radio using the eSIM card integrated in the gateway. There, the data is analyzed further and the results are displayed on a dashboard.
