With the Sitrans TO500, Siemens is launching an innovative measuring system for fiber optic temperature measurement. It is designed to enable complex temperature measurements and the precise detection of critical temperature overshoots, for example in tube and tube bundle reactors. According to the manufacturer, the measuring system is characterized by a large number of measuring points (up to 48 per measuring lance, depending on the temperature range) and a small diameter of the sensor measuring lance.
