Teledyne Flir - Wider frequency range and integrated battery
Teledyne Flir is expanding its Si124 series of industrial acoustic cameras. The revised Si124 and the Si124-PD models for partial discharge testing in power supply applications and Si124-LD for air leak detection have an acoustic imaging range of 2 to 65 kHz. Thanks to the ability to detect noise in the extended frequency range of 36 to 65 kHz, even very small leaks and discharges can be detected at short distances in condition-based maintenance. New and existing customers can use the Flir Si Series plug-in for Flir Thermal Studio, which allows acoustic images from the camera to be imported into the Flir Thermal Studio software suite, where they can be processed and analyzed together with the images from a thermal imaging camera. The industrial acoustic imaging cameras capture, display and record sound waves by creating a precise acoustic image generated via 124 integrated microphones. The acoustic image is superimposed on a digital camera image in real time.
