The "Bier-Paulii" pouring wheat beer will be the eye-catcher at Kuka's stand at Motek this year. With this use of the LBR iiwa, the company is demonstrating the possibilities of sensitive robotics and human-robot collaboration. Together with a human colleague, the dispensing robot performs all the necessary steps such as gripping and opening bottles and pouring wheat beer. Together with system partner flexfactory, Kuka will also be exhibiting an "anyfeeder" cell designed for pick-and-place tasks involving a wide range of unsorted industrial components. The cell consists of a conveyor belt via which small parts, for example from the electronics sector, are fed to a vibrating plate. There, the parts are shaken until they lie evenly next to each other on one level. In combination with a camera system, the Kuka KR 3 Agilus small robot recognizes the individual parts, picks them up reliably and sorts them precisely.
