Rotating torque sensor from Lorenz Messtechnik

Lorenz has developed a new generation of rotating torque sensors designed to simplify torque measurement technology for users. The calibration data is stored in the sensor, which is read out for the configuration of the measuring software. The sensor connection is designed according to the plug & play principle and does not require any user settings, so that the logically structured operating concept of the supplied software is simple and clear. User settings are available for advanced users. The settings made are automatically saved so that they are available for further measurements. A standard computer with a USB port is sufficient as a display and evaluation unit. The sensors can be powered via the USB connection. The angle or speed measurement has also been integrated into the measured value transmission. The speed in 1/min or the angle of rotation in degrees is available directly at the sensor output. The measuring rate is up to 2500 measurements per second. The supplied software package includes the display of the measured values in a graph as a function of time or one of the measured physical variables. The measured power, as the product of torque and speed, can also be displayed graphically.
