The Digital Factory Division reported strong volume growth in all businesses. This was primarily due to short-cycle business with outstanding development that outperformed the market, according to Siemens. In the first quarter, the product lifecycle management software business grew very strongly, primarily due to the acquisition of Mentor Graphics (quarter 2/2017). However, this Mentor Graphics acquisition impacted profitability due to ongoing effects, including adjustments to deferred revenue and integration costs.
