With the SmartManager 4.0,STV Electronic presents a 'Raspberry Pi 3 B+'-based top-hat rail PC for the control cabinet, with which users can implement complex tasks in control technology and building automation with open source-based hardware and software.
The performance of the top-hat rail PC can be scaled as required using standardized SODIMM processor modules. Thanks to its low installation depth of 62.2 mm, compact width of 6 HP (108 mm) and interfaces at the top and bottom, the Raspberry Pi computer fits into any control cabinet.
In the development environment of the DIN rail PC 'SmartManager 4.0', which supports Debian Embedded Linux, users can choose between real-time programming environments such as Codesys, IoT development tools such as NodeRed, web server technologies such as Node.js or 'classic' C and C++ code as well as other solutions from the Raspberry Pi community.
In the currently available, multi-threaded quad-core version, the DIN rail PC is equipped with a 1.2 GHz Broadcom BCM2837B0 processor and 1 Gbyte LPDDR2 SDRAM. Users can choose between 8, 16 or 32 GB eMMC on-board flash memory. Alternatively, a variant with an SD slot is available.
