The eWON Cosy remote maintenance router from HMS Industrial Networks is now also available in a version for 4G LTE (Europe, North America). In addition, all models also support a notification function: If an alarm occurs, users are informed by email or SMS about which event in their system triggered the alarm, where and when. The notification function is part of a firmware update for the "eWON Cosy 131" product range, which also includes a new user interface, WAN fallback and 4G support. The firmware is supported by all models (Ethernet, WLAN, 3G and 4G) in the product range. Using the router with a 4G cellular connection allows users to access their machines even in remote locations where Ethernet is not available. The router connects to the latest LTE (Long-Term Evolution) networks and also guarantees automatic fallback to other cellular connections. If the 4G network is unstable, overloaded or unavailable, the connection automatically switches to 3G (HSPA/WCDMA). For remote access, a SIM card with a data plan is required to connect the remote maintenance router to the cloud-based solution "Talk2M" in order to access the control of a machine or system.
