The VDMA sees room for improvement in the broad application of recognized standards for industrial security: although four out of five of the companies surveyed are familiar with at least one of the four relevant standards, less than half actually apply them. Compared to the 2013 study, there was nevertheless a significant increase in the use of standards by 24% to 41% this time.
