Dynetics presents a waterproof series of BLDC motors for direct drives. According to the supplier, the high-torque BLDC motors from Elra have a much higher torque compared to standard motors of this size. Thanks to the high-pole rotor design with a nominal speed of 750 rpm, the motors are particularly suitable as direct drives. The elimination of a gear reduction, which is usually necessary, means that mechanical wear parts are no longer required, extending the operating time of the drive to up to 20,000 hours, depending on the application.
The high-torque motors are available in two sizes with flange dimensions of 80 mm × 80 mm and 100 mm × 100 mm. The motors can optionally be equipped with high-resolution incremental encoders for precise positioning and smooth running at low speeds. The motors are designed with protection class IP65. Incremental encoders with 4096 pulses/revolution, connector assembly and external speed and position controllers with CAN bus, Profibus or Ethercat are optional.
