New version of the Eplan platform from Eplan
© Eplan Software & Service

Eplan has announced version 2.8 of the Eplan platform, which will be released in September 2018. For users in the heating/ventilation/air conditioning sector, the company is providing a macro project with system diagrams for building automation, which, according to the company, will make project planning much easier. The macros are ready-made P&I diagrams that can be inserted into a project - this can be an outside air system with temperature cooling, a standardized ventilation technology, a ready-made circuit for temperature cooling of boilers, a P&I diagram or a flow diagram. The so-called window macros are provided free of charge in Eplan format, for which a separate website is set up. The page macros - including logical PCT positions - also cover the currently valid standards such as DIN EN ISO 16484-3 or VDI 3813/3814. With this additional master data, users in the field of building automation become significantly faster. With the help of pre-planning, users can carry out the initial planning activities for the technical aspects of the engineering process at an early stage. In the preliminary planning project phase, concepts for the technical system scope are developed and initial quantity structures are estimated. The aim is to determine the most technically advantageous concept and define the specifications for the subsequent detailed planning. Based on the preliminary planning, the circuit diagrams and details of the system can be drawn up later.
