Panasonic Electric Works presents servo drives from the 'Minas A6' series as SX with Advanced Safety. The company is presenting the prototype of a basic version of drive controllers with the twelve most common safety functions and nine integrated and safe inputs and outputs. The version will be launched on the market at the end of 2018. After the launch, a full version with a total of 17 safety functions and nine safe inputs and outputs is also planned. The "Minas A6" drive controller series with integrated safety functions meets the safety requirements of the EN 61800-5-2 standard. The company cites the elimination of safety switches, no system stop during maintenance work, no risk to personnel during set-up and commissioning, safe reduced speed and reduced space requirements by reducing the size of the run-out and buffer zones as further advantages of Minas A6SX.
