Aprotech has equipped the new 17-inch and 19-inch panel PCs from the Hawk RF series exclusively with industrial motherboards from Fujitsu and Asrock with Intel processors. The models are available both fanless and with a CPU fan. The front panels (6 mm thick) are made of stainless steel or aluminum and are available in silver or black. The supply voltage covers a range from 6 V to 36 V(DC). The computers are optionally available with an integrated UPS, Profibus or CAN. According to the manufacturer, the integrated UPS has an energy content of 1 kJ and is maintenance-free for 20 to 30 years thanks to the use of capacitors as energy storage. The optional Profibus is connected to the PC application via an OPC server, as is the CAN interface. As the resistive touch reacts to pressure, the panel PC can also be operated with gloves. On customer request, it can be supplied with a pre-installed and licensed Windows or Linux operating system. The built-in hard disks are suitable for 24/7 use. Power Loss Protection (PLP) of the SSDs ensures that the data in the SSD cache is still written to the NAND memory in the event of an unexpected power failure.
